The ISSUE

Thiess Macdow Joint Venture are building a 5.7km rail extension in Adelaide behind housing which requires a lot of accesses in and out of the project.  They rely heavily on skilled traffic management to ensure easy and effective access to main roads with their heavy vehicles across the entire project.

Why ALTUS?

Theiss have a policy that there is to be no exposure to people and require physical barriers to protect the traffic controllers.  They needed Altus to adapt their processes to fit the Theiss model.

“It was important that they were open and positive towards being upskilled to do our project as it wouldn't have worked otherwise…  they handled our criticism very well and went on to upgrade their system and go about things differently”, reported Noel Grinhan, HSE Manager.
