    Ben Marsonet

    Group CEO

    Ben has a career spanning over 15 years in the traffic management industry working across various operational, commercial and senior management roles. Following a 10 year career with Altus in General Management and Executive positions, Ben was appointed to the role of Group CEO in July 2021. Since his appointment, Ben has lead the business through a successful private equity investment, as well as doubling revenue and earnings of the business through a mix of organic growth and acquisition activity. Ben has an immense passion for the safety and growth of people, and is passionate about leading a business that has a genuine impact on its employees and the communities it operates in. Altus Group is the largest and leading provider of traffic management services across Australia and New Zealand operating in 45+ locations, employing 4500 staff and operating a fleet of 2500+ assets. The Group generates $350m+ in annual revenues through its 6 brands; Altus Traffic (foundation business), Traffic Diversions Group (Vic), Traffic Logistics (NSW), Shield Traffic (Qld), Traffic Management New Zealand (NZ) and CivilEdge Training.

    James Pennings

    Group CCO

    James has more than 25 years senior management experience across a variety of market sectors in Australia and the United States. An accomplished business development and origination specialist, he has provided leadership and management to organisations spanning sales, strategy & marketing, corporate development, procurement & contracting, operations and public policy development. James is the commercial lead for the business, responsible for growth, diversification, branding and market development.

    Iain Skelton

    Group CFO

    Iain is a strategic finance leader with more than 20 years of experience in senior management roles across a variety of sectors. Iain is adept at developing and scaling teams in high growth environments whilst maintaining a customer centric, commercially driven culture. He provides the Altus Group with rigorous financial oversight whilst driving operational efficiency and financial performance. Iain also leads governance, risk and compliance for the group providing a strong foundation for future growth.

    Claire Agnew​

    EGM - People

    Claire is an experienced Human Resources professional with a combined 15 years of demonstrated working history in the Education, Health Care and now Traffic Control industry. Claire is a broad generalist skilled in employment and industrial relations, recruitment and implementing organisational change. She is responsible for staff retention and engagement as well as injury management and workers compensation. Claire’s passion is to grow and develop people and to increase engagement and performance within the business. Her competitive advantage is her intuition and straight talk. People are our best asset!

    Chris Thornton

    EGM - HSEQ

    Chris manages the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality functions of the business, having previously led Altus’ QLD business with full P&L responsibility. He is tasked with driving continual improvement across a wide portfolio of works nationally and develops and executes the organisation’s Safety Strategy. Chris is focussed on improving both employee and customer safety, ensuring robust and accountable systems and processes underpin these objectives.

    Executive Team

    Darryl is a seasoned infrastructure executive with over 35 years of experience, predominantly in the road construction industry. His career spans prominent roles with major organisations such as CSR Readymix, Emoleum, Fulton Hogan, and primarily Downer. Darryl's extensive knowledge covers all aspects of the civil industry, including road asset management and construction, asphalt, bitumen, logistics, and road maintenance. Known for driving outstanding safety performance, he has a deep understanding of business operations and management. His expertise extends to building senior relationships across corporate, government, and operational levels and strategically addressing business challenges to enhance profitability.

    Brendan Cannon is a strategic management executive with extensive experience driving operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and compliance across large organisations. As EGM – Southern Operations at Altus Group, he leads performance through disciplined systems, data-driven decision-making, and a strong ISO-aligned safety culture. Renowned for building high-performing teams and delivering measurable efficiencies, Brendan combines business acumen with operational insight to optimise resources, strengthen governance, and ensure compliance. His leadership has driven successful integrations, improved financial outcomes, and reinforced Altus' reputation for reliability and customer focus.

    EGM - NZ

    Kurt is an experienced leader in traffic management with over eight years in the industry. He founded ProTraffic in Gisborne, New Zealand, which quickly earned a strong reputation for safety, reliability, and community focus. Under his leadership, ProTraffic supported major clients like Fulton Hogan, Downer, Higgins, and the Gisborne District Council, and played a vital role in the Cyclone Gabrielle emergency response in 2023. Prior to ProTraffic, Kurt was General Manager at Men at Work Traffic Management in Christchurch, working across construction, infrastructure, forestry, and events. His career reflects a commitment to excellence, safety, and delivering trusted service.

    Wendy Douglas

    GM - Impact & Engagement

    Wendy is a highly regarded traffic industry manager with a strong track record in customer delivery and operational management. Looking after the State of WA, Wendy is driving the development of a balanced portfolio among projects and maintenance style works across the regions, through exceptional service delivery and the building out of a high quality team. Wendy holds great relationships among government and the private sector and represents our industry at multiple forums.

    Joanne Croft

    GM - CivilEdge

    Joanne leads Altus Group’s Registered Training Organisation, Civiledge, delivering traffic and civil construction training across industry. With a background in Safety and experience as Altus Traffic’s Safety Manager, she now drives the expansion of Civiledge’s qualifications, leveraging strong networks across traffic, civil, maintenance, and utilities. Joanne is committed to high-quality training, ensuring students gain the skills to work safely and effectively.

    Russell is a highly experienced traffic industry manager, having undertaken multiple roles for Altus through nearly a decade of service. A strong client facing leader with extensive knowledge of execution, Russell has been managing the high growth regions of VIC and TAS for the previous 2 years, building the teams necessary for consistent, quality fulfillment in a scaling and demanding environment.ription goes here

    Khaleel Hamdan

    GM - NSW

    Khaleel brings 19 years of traffic management experience, including 13 with Altus, where he has delivered on some of Australia’s largest infrastructure and maintenance projects. With a background in Business Information Systems, he has held key operational and safety leadership roles and now leads Altus’ NSW operations, managing over 500 traffic controllers. With full P&L responsibility, Khaleel is focused on driving growth, enhancing safety, and maintaining industry leadership.

    Britt O'Dwyer

    GM - WA

    Britt O’Dwyer is a proven leader in traffic management with deep expertise in safety, operations, and industry advocacy. Alongside her role at Altus, she serves as WA Representative on the National Board and Chair of the WA Division of the Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA), driving industry progress and regulatory development. Britt is committed to safety, efficiency, and innovation, ensuring high standards across roadwork and infrastructure projects in the region.

    Chris Crouch

    GM - QLD

    Chris recently joined the Traffic Management Industry in May 2022 as General Manager Qld. Chris comes with 33 years’ experience in Commercial, Sales, Account Management, Leadership, People Development and Project Management experience through the FMCG Industry via an Alcohol business. Chris brings the skill-set necessary for the management of our Qld Business, delivering for our customers, building a winning team, whilst delivering efficiency gains and financial performance.

    Andrew Gentile

    GM - SA

    Andrew is an 18-year traffic management veteran with extensive experience in operational leadership. Now General Manager of Altus South Australia, he has delivered on Tier 1 construction projects, major events, and road maintenance contracts. Known for his personable style and strong leadership, Andrew builds lasting client relationships while ensuring safe, high-quality services. He has also served as Chair and Vice Chair within industry associations, helping to grow and mature the sector.

    John Rogers

    GM - TAS

    John brings over 19 years of expertise in the Traffic Management Industry to his role, having started with Altus in 2004. Starting as a traffic controller, John has held various positions in traffic management over the years, including s senior team leader and then transitioning into management 16 years ago. His extensive experience spans construction, utilities, events, road maintenance, and rail sectors, with a dedication for ensuring the highest safety standards in worksite planning.

    Head of Digital

    With nearly two decades in traffic management across operations, planning, safety, logistics, and major events, Beth brings extensive practical expertise to her role as Head of Digital. She leads the rollout of Altus Group’s Workzone Digitisation suite, driving innovation and technology adoption nationwide. Beth is passionate about using data-driven insights to transform safety and productivity in the industry.
