NRSW 2026: A Week of Awareness, Action and Community
As National Road Safety Week 2026 has come to an end, the message remains as important as ever — road safety is everyone’s responsibility, every day. While the official week may be over, the conversations and actions it inspires should continue long after the campaign ends.
Take the Pledge to Drive So Others Survive
Across Australia, more than 1,300 lives are lost and over 40,000 people are seriously injured on our roads each year. National Road Safety Week is a time to remember those impacted and to commit to doing better. One of the most meaningful ways to get involved is by committing to the “Drive So Others Survive” pledge. It is a simple promise with real impact, asking every driver to think beyond themselves and take responsibility for everyone on the road.
National Road Safety Week 2026
Every year, Australians come together for National Road Safety Week 2026—a powerful initiative dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging safer choices on our roads. Running from 17 to 24 May 2026, this important week is a reminder that road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Whether you’re an individual, a business, or a school, there are simple and meaningful ways to get involved.
Nurturing Our Next Generation of Road Safety Heroes

It’s also the ideal moment to help kids understand these important lessons in a fun, hands‑on way. That’s why we’re excited to bring back a much‑loved favourite: the Altus Road Safety Colouring Competition.

With thousands of students returning to classrooms across Australia, it’s the perfect moment for all motorists to reset, refocus and recommit to road safety around schools.
